Colts Neck Highschool Athlete Returns to the Game After Knee Surgery
Patrick McAteer, a junior at Colts Neck Highschool who participates in football and wrestling, suffered an injury to his knee while playing Pop Warner football at age 12. Patrick’s knee continually bothered him, especially after exerting it in organized sports, getting worse and worse over the years. Patrick’s athletic trainer at Colts Neck Highschool, Eric Nussbaum, referred him to Dr. Timothy Hosea at University Orthopaedic Associates. An MRI showed that Patrick had a fracture and a loose piece of bone and cartilage in his knee. Through surgical intervention, Dr. Hosea was able to repair the knee. Patrick is once again able to do what he loves, but now without the chronic knee pain.
