University Orthopaedic Associates (UOA) mourns the loss of our friend and mentor, Dr. Joseph Zawadsky.

Dr. Zawadsky, the founding father of UOA, started the practice on July 1, 1964, in New Brunswick, NJ. He performed the first hip replacement surgery in the state and served as a long-time orthopaedic consultant for Princeton University. He was also a team physician for Rutgers University and held several prestigious positions, including Academic Chair of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ).
