Physical Therapy: Physical therapy is the branch of rehabilitative health that uses specific manual therapy techniques, specially designed exercises and equipment to help patients regain or improve their physical abilities. People use physical therapy as a primary treatment for some conditions and to speed recovery after surgical procedures.

Occupational and Hand Therapy: Occupational and hand therapy is the art and science of rehabilitating the upper extremities, which includes the hands, wrists, elbows and shoulders. It is a merging of occupational and physical therapy that combines comprehensive knowledge of the structure of the upper extremities with function and activity. It focuses on preventing, slowing or reversing medical conditions and restoring function of the upper extremities, as well as enhancing patients’ ability to perform everyday tasks.
