University Orthopaedic Associates (UOA) congratulates Dr. Christopher Doumas on his promotion to Director of the Hand Division in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Jersey Shore University Medical Center (JSUMC). Board certified in orthopaedic surgery, with subspecialty training in hand surgery, Dr. Doumas now leads JSUMC’s quality service in hand surgery to correct musculoskeletal injuries and disorders. In tandem with Dr. Doumas’ appointment, UOA will be on call to address hand cases presenting in JSUMC’s Emergency Room; patients can still request UOA when the practice is not on call.

Dr. Doumas joined UOA in 2008. He currently serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ)-Robert Wood Johnson University Orthopaedic Group. After earning his medical degree at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, he completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and an orthopaedic surgery/hand and upper extremity fellowship at University of Pennsylvania.
