Our own Dr. Hosea is right in the thick of one of the highlights of the Olympic Games, and surely his skills are vital in ensuring U.S. success. As a consistent presence with USRowing, he is a physician for the Women’s Team in London.

The latest finals results (Wednesday morning) include a big congratulations to Adrienne Martelli, Megan Kalmoe, Kara Kohler and Natalie Dell of the United States who won bronze in the Women’s Quadruple Sculls on Day 5. In the women’s pairs, the US duo of Sara Hendershot and Sarah Zelenk finished just out of the medals in fourth.

The United States and Canada qualified for the final of the women’s eight by winning their heats Sunday, setting up what should be one of the top showdowns of the Olympic rowing regatta. The final is on Thursday. The defending USA gold medalists won the women’s eight preliminary in 6:14.68 seconds. The U.S. women’s eights boat has not lost a race since 2005, regardless of what line-up the coaches create. The U.S. Women’s Pair has qualified for the Final this Wednesday. Women’s Single Sculls quarterfinal is Tuesday.
