Three UOA Physicians Named Jersey’s Best Top Orthopaedic Doctors!
University Orthopaedic Associates (UOA) is proud to announce that three of our physicians have been named Jersey’s Best Top Orthopaedic Doctors, selected by Castle Connolly Top Doctors. Jersey’s Best Top Orthopaedic Doctors awards are presented to New Jersey physicians who have received nominations from their peers for being exceptional and the best in their field.
This year’s UOA award winners include:
- David A. Harwood, MD
- Christopher Doumas, MD
- Kenneth G. Swan, Jr., MD
Dr. Harwood is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in joint replacement and arthritis surgery. He completed his fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and is involved on an ongoing basis with clinical trials for patients with degenerative knee diseases. He has an academic appointment as a Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and has been voted a Jersey Choice Top Doctor several years in a row.
Dr. Doumas is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon at UOA. He did a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania where he specialized in surgery of the hand and upper extremity. He is the Director of Hand Surgery at Jersey Shore University Medical Center and has an academic appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He is the co-author of the textbook Operative Techniques in Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Swan is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine and shoulder surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is the Director of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery and Medical Director of the Human Motion Institute at Raritan Bay Medical Center and has extensive medical and academic publications and presentations to his name.
