About Ben Glider

Ben earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from New York Medical College in 2017 after completing his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at the University of Delaware. With advanced training in dry needling and the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), he continues to expand his expertise and is actively pursuing board certification as a Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS).

Ben has dedicated his career to helping patients move better, recover stronger, and return to the activities that matter most to them. He has extensive experience treating athletes using both conservative and post-operative rehabilitation, including ACL and multi-ligament knee injuries, shoulder labral and rotator cuff repairs, and performance-based return-to-sport progression.

His background as a collegiate rugby player gives him firsthand insight into the demands of the sport and the mindset required to perform at a high level.

Beyond his sports medicine focus, Ben treats a wide range of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. He also specializes in the management of concussion, temporomandibular disorders, and complex or persistent pain presentations. His approach emphasizes hands-on care, progressive loading strategies, and movement-based rehabilitation tailored to each individual.

Ben currently leads the physical therapy team at University Orthopaedic Associates’ Avenel location. Outside the clinic, he enjoys rock climbing, strength training, golf, skiing, and spending time outdoors.
