Please join us in congratulating Drs. Hesham Abdelfattah, Mark S. Butler, Christopher Doumas, Timothy P. Leddy and Kenneth G. Every year, Castle Connolly surveys thousands of physicians anonymously, asking them to nominate a peer for the Top Doctors list. All survey recipients are assigned unique access codes to prevent self-nomination. Dr. Hesham Abdelfattah

Dr. Abdelfattah is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the hand and upper extremities. He believes holistic, whole-person health and patient-physician collaboration are key to positive treatment outcomes and exceptional care. Dr. Abdelfattah treats general orthopaedic conditions in patients of all ages but focuses primarily on the shoulders, arms and hands.

Dr. Mark S. Butler

Dr. Butler is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with over 25 years of experience. He uses nonsurgical interventions to treat UOA patients. When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Butler volunteers for New Jersey Task Force One, a FEMA search-and-rescue team.

Dr. Christopher Doumas

Dr. Doumas is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with a specialty in hand and upper extremities. He has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly several times for both the New Jersey and New York Metro areas, and is the Director of Hand Surgery at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Some of his other accomplishments include co-writing the orthopaedic textbook, “Operative Techniques in Orthopaedic Surgery” and being named Nurse’s Choice Physician of the Year at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Dr. Timothy P. Leddy

Dr. Leddy is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon at UOA with a specialty in the hand and upper extremity. He completed his residency at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, followed by a fellowship in surgery of the hand and upper extremity at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Leddy has received other honors and recognition, including the Select Surgeons Bone & Joint list and NJ Monthly Jersey Choice Top Doctor.

Dr. Kenneth G. Swan Jr.

Dr. Swan Jr. is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with a specialty in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. He is the dedicated team physician for the Woodbridge Township School District and Perth Amboy High School and the recipient of numerous teaching and Top Doctor awards. He is a Fellow of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
