In April, I had knee surgery for a complex meniscus tear performed by Dr. Beiro at University Orthopaedic Associates in Avenel, UOA’s Woodbridge location. Ben Glider, the experienced and skilled physical therapist at UOA’s Center for Rehabilitation and Sports Excellence, which is located right next door to UOA, helped me regain the knee strength that I had lost. From the time of my knee injury and continuing after the surgery, I had great difficulty going down steps. Thanks to Ben’s care, I now can go down steps much more easily. Ben also gave me a printed program of exercises to continue doing at home. He was personable and professional and provided encouragement when needed. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Kayiaros was great as usual! I am able to walk without the terrible pain that I had in my left hip. He also replaced my right hip 7 years ago and I had the same results. Pain – gone! I am 81 years old and he has definitely improved the quality of my life. Ben Glider in Physical Therapy is such a caring professional, I was glad to work with him. He stressed the importance of continuing to get stronger which I am doing. Â
My experience was definitely a positive one! I believe Ben’s plan, motivation, and guidance was key and instrumental to my recovery. Beyond that, I was surprised at how invested others at UOA were in my recovery; from the front desk ladies, the PT Assistants, and other PTs. They asked how I was doing and waited for an answer. They celebrated my small victories (ie: the first time I came in without one crutch, or no crutch at all). And all of this during the early days of the COVID pandemic (March – Sept). Between Ben and the entire staff at UOA, I feel like I had everyone invested in my full recovery! THANK YOU ALL!!
The entire staff was very personable and professional. My therapist, Ben, was very thorough and knowledgeable. I am telling my friends and family about how well my physical therapy went!Â
I’m 77 and in May 2020 injured my neck in a fall. Benjamin Glider was my therapist. His care, explaining what could be done, and ability to actually “fix,” to a reasonable degree. What was damaged has given me back a feeling of well-being, confidence and hope. Benjamin is patient and knowledgeable. I felt fortunate having had him as my Therapist.Â
I have never been disappointed with the care I have received at UOA’s Physical Therapy. While I’ve been treated there more times than I like to admit, I have always received care that was compassionate, encouraging and perfect for my individual needs! Thank you Ben!Â
I would really like to thank Ben Glider and the staff for their professionalism and great care I received for 6 months after Spine Surgery. During my exercise, I watched and listened to all around me. What a great team! I believe with everyone’s help my recovery and improvement and hard work made this time go by smoothly and I am very happy with my results to-date!
Ben was very attentive and hands-on with my physical therapy when needed throughout my therapy. Always adding more challenging exercises to push and challenge my abilities. He gave me home exercises from the start which enabled me to put my recovery in my hands as well. I highly recommend Ben and would go to him if needed in the future.Â
I was very pleased with the care I received at UOA, Somerset. The facility is up to date and well maintained. The staff is continually disinfecting equipment after each use and washing their hands frequently. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. All the therapists, assistants and volunteers are professional and extremely helpful. Ben is a top-notch therapist! I knew he was knowledgeable and well educated. I learned a lot about my injury and how to stay healthy and mobile. Ben also gave me a plan to use at home but encouraged me to contact him if I needed. I recommend UOA highly!Â
I was very lucky to get Ben as my Physical Therapist. He is very professional, knowledgeable, flexible and sincere. Before this, I’ve gone to other centers where the physical therapist was not present when the exercises were done – just one assistant for as many as 10 people and one was lucky if the improper form of exercise was even noticed. When I first started at UOA, I could hardly walk and was in a lot of pain. Now, I am walking with the aid of my cane and have much less pain.
