It changed my life

I had bone spur surgery with Dr. Fleming after years of constant pain, and I can honestly say it changed my life. It’s been three years since the procedure, and I haven’t had a single ounce of pain. Choosing Dr. Fleming at University Orthopaedic Associates was one of the best healthcare decisions I’ve ever made. At 59, I can finally get up in the middle of the night without holding onto anything, and I can walk for miles comfortably. I’m incredibly grateful for the care and expertise I received.

Walking Without Assistance or Pain

I suffered with an arthritic bone-on-bone ankle for years. Although I was getting cortisone shots, they helped only temporarily; the pain and swelling would reoccur, affecting my walking and other activities. After discussions with my orthopedic doctor about other options, she recommended Dr. Fleming. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Fleming, and he felt I was a good candidate for ankle replacement. He fully explained the procedure and recovery, which is more extensive than other joint replacements. I had the procedure in Sept 2024, went through 6 weeks of no weight bearing, then PT, and 4 weeks with a walking boot. I was able to walk without assistance in mid-November and without pain. I cannot say enough for Dr. Fleming, nurses and staff at UOA for the care I received.

There Are No Better Hands To Be In

From the moment I met Dr. Fleming he was extremely honest and compassionate to what I was going through and always willing to go the extra mile. When surgery was decided I was very nervous, which is silly because this was the fifth surgery for me, the second on this ankle. The staff and Dr. Fleming made my surgery and recovery a good experience despite all the things my body threw at them. This doctor has given me something I never thought was possible, which was to feel that I can really stand with confidence in my body’s ability to move and walk without fear of falling due to instability. I’m not walking yet but I have faith that the team at UOA will get me there one step at a time. Thank you Dr. Fleming for giving me hope and joy again. The doctors are perfect here and the staff is the best. Please if you need orthopaedic help there are no better hands to be in than these doctors, nurses, front desk staff, and x-ray techs. These people really care for and take care of their patients.

Dr. Fleming Changed the Course of My Recovery

I made an appointment with Dr. Fleming for a second opinion after being put in a cast for 5 weeks from the knee down by another doctor for a broken 5th metatarsal bone in my left foot. When I called UOA the staff was kind, empathetic, and extremely helpful. I was fortunate to get an appointment with Dr. Fleming. Dr. Fleming changed the course of my recovery. He removed my cast and placed me in a medical boot while my bone healed giving me my independence back. Dr. Fleming was thorough, kind, understanding, and very knowledgeable. He explained everything to me in a very clear, detailed manner and he answered all of my questions. He is a remarkable doctor and I am thankful to have been under his care. I also attended physical therapy at UOA. John Keegan listened to my concerns and helped me get my mobility and strength back. I cannot thank them enough for helping me get back to my normal routine. I highly recommend UOA as I had a wonderful experience!

In April of this year, I fell and broke both bones in my ankle. Walk Without Pain, Fish, and Enjoy Life

I had serious ankle issues including a triple arthrodesis performed 5 years ago by a different surgeon. Later, I was unable to walk without serious pain. If you are reading this, life may be as dreadful. I sought 3 opinions. Dr. Justin J. Fleming absolutely delivered as promised. Of mention, it was worth driving 2 hours for the surgery and follow-up appointments. I live in PA. I highly recommend Dr. Justin J. Fleming. I had a motorcycle accident and I shattered my ankle

I had a motorcycle accident and I shattered my ankle. I thought I wouldn’t be able to walk for a long time. When I started my physical therapy a few weeks after my surgery I was in a lot of pain but Lindsey Balint was a pleasure to work with. The Woodridge office has a very clean, calming environment, and the staff is very professional. Always smiles on their faces.

UOA Woodbridge are rockstars! From their Staff and Doctors to their Physical Therapists, they made my personal injury easy to recover from. Their modern technology and office space bring you a natural calm that you’re in good hands. I saw Dr. Schafer and physical therapist Megan Varela for my badly sprained ankle. Nothing I Cannot Do After Total Ankle Replacement

Dr. Fleming performed my total ankle replacement the end of September of 2022. I had bone on bone pain for close to 10 years to the point it became debilitating. After recovery and rehabilitation with the UOA group and Anne I have made major strides(excuse the pun). I am 63 years old and can now run, play basketball, ride motocross, etc. etc. There is nothing I cannot do. With my increased activity I have now even lost weight and feel in the best shape of my life and free from pain killers. Without Dr. Flemings expertise I would not be where I am today!
