I was very pleased with the promptness of my appointments and especially with my therapist. Lynn was especially helpful and took the time to help me and find the right knee brace that I wanted to order. I was grateful because she helped me make the right decision. The pleasantness of the therapists and cleanliness of the facility makes for a very happy therapy session!
When Dr. Gatt referred me to UOA for physical therapy for my very painful right knee, i was apprehensive, but hopeful. As it turned out, it was a great experience from day one until the completion of my last visit. On a scale of one to ten, i give UOA PT a ten! The facility was spotless and spectacular, and the receptionists were beyond welcoming, and cordial. My therapist, Lynn, was amazing, smart and very patient. She was a great teacher showing me how to complete the exercises and continue them at home. As of today, my knee is perfect and pain free!
I arrived at University Orthopedic Associates with severe osteoarthritis knee pain in both knees. By working with Lynn Van Ost and other members of the team, I was able to strengthen my legs. The experience has taught me how important it is to continue my exercises at home. I am now spoiling myself with hot packs in the morning, cold packs at night and exercises every other day. I’ve been recommending UOA to family, friends and acquaintances. You must care for your knees, if you don’t want pain!
Lynn, my therapist was professional, yet caring. Her assessment and instructions were right on target and made my recovery possible in record fashion. My new hip and I deeply appreciate her skills and competency. Additionally, the office staff and physical environment made this a happy and healthy experience.
Lynn,
Thank you kindly for doing such a great job on both of my knees in such a short time. I’m doing just fine with walking and climbing the steps. I will highly recommend you again. Thanks so much!
Having just completed my therapy. I would like to say Lynn Van Ost was very professional, knowledgeable, and caring. Lynn and her staff on a scale of 1 to 10 were at 10. Also the receptionists were very welcoming and helpful.
Having undertaken daunting bilateral knee replacement and not knowing what to expect in rehab I was thoroughly pleased with my almost 4 months experience in your facility.
From the first pre-op visit to your site and throughout the entire process of regaining my mobility, I quickly realized that I was in an excellent place. I easily gained the confidence of my therapist Lyn, as she quickly displayed her expertise and caring way with me!
Although I certainly had to work very hard to press forward no matter how difficult it was for me, Lyn was always there to encourage me and get me through the exercises. No question I may have asked her went unanswered. She is certainly a distinctive and truly dedicated professional in her field.
The rehab is definitely state of the art. It is maintained very well and kept very clean. The entire staff is extremely cordial and supportive. I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience.
My physical therapy experience was amazing. I feel like I am well on my way back to full recovery after my shoulder surgery. The PT started slowly to get some movement back and then progressed to range of motion and strength building exercises.
Much of the credit goes to Lynn Van Ost, my PT instructor, who had led me thru the recovery process. Her experience, enthusiasm and dedication made a tremendous difference. She seemed to know exactly what to do during each step of the recovery process. Lynn also provided the tools and information so I would be able to complete the last 25% of the recovery on my own.
The PT facilities and equipment at UOANJ were top-shelf, too.
For all the reasons above, I would not hesitate to return to UOANJ for any future PT needs.
After diagnosing arthritis to be the leading cause of my back pains, UOA’s Dr. Cook recommended that I attend “Back School” where I would undergo physical therapy to strengthen and stretch my back muscles with exercises that I would learn how to also perform on my own.
My teacher was Lynn Van Ost, a veteran physical therapist whose knowledge of body mechanics proved to be rock solid and most beneficial. After just two treatments, my back began to feel better, albeit slightly, but improvement was evident nonetheless. Any notions that I may have had about “Back School” being a waste of time were quickly dispelled thanks to Lynn. I can now function normally as my discomfort level is almost nonexistent. Occasionally I may feel some pains flare up- as Lynn explained, thus is the nature of arthritis- but at least I now know how to relieve them better the exercises I was taught. Now that I have finished “back school,” I’ve decided to take what I will refer to as UOA’s postgraduate course, with Blake Swan as its instructor. Blake is a strength and conditioning specialist who will act as my personal trainer. He has assessed my physical capacity and is going to tailor my workouts so that they meet my needs and goals. I am eager to start my new fitness program under his guidance.
