I had surgery on 6/5/19, a total knee replacement which I did not have an idea that I was going to recover as I did. Although I am still in the recovery process, attending my therapy every week, and sometimes twice a week from 6/21/19 until 8/15/19, with such a great therapist working with me, I have made great progress. I am walking without a limp, bending my leg well with most of all no pain. I have started back with my outside activities that I enjoy. Thanks to my therapist and the entire rehabilitation and sports excellence center.
I was seen in July 2019. I had a total knee replacement. I had 8 visits to UOA for physical therapy with Dean. He was very good and worked me hard. He also gave me exercises to do at home. He knew I was eager to get back to work. After 8 visits, Dean and his crew, Ryan and Will, had me in shape to go back to work. Great job, Dean and crew. A big thank you to the crew for helping Dean at busy times.
For a knee replacement surgery to be successful, you have to have a great surgeon followed by a great physical therapist. I had both Dr. Harwood and Dino. I am well on my way to a full recovery and many more years of pain-free walking. Specifically in the terms of the therapy, I will start by saying Dino worked very hard and motivated me to follow his example. Thanks for a job well done!
Dino is an amazing therapist. He is knowledgeable, kind-hearted and a true professional. I would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone who needs to see a physical therapist. I was able to avoid surgery and my knee is so much better under his direction.
I was pleased with the professional manner and effectiveness of the UOA staff in treating my lower back pain. My physical therapist, Ryan Kay, was knowledgeable and caring. The treatment was highly effective.
I can’t possibly express how impressed I was with the Center for Rehabilitation! One stop shopping, surgery (although I did not require it due to my awesome rehab) to in-house rehabilitation. From the ladies at the front desk to their P.T. interns, I always felt they truly cared. As far as my therapist, Ryan Kay, I could not have asked for a more knowledgeable, professional and caring person. If I every require PT in the future, you can rest assured it will be here and hopefully with Ryan!
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all the members and staff of UOA and Center for Rehabilitation and Sports Excellence in Somerset, NJ, particularly to my therapist, Ryan P. Kay, PT, DPT.
I was diagnosed with severe arthritis of my spine, hips and knees and received a Durolane injection in both knees by my orthopedic doctor, Dr. Butler. He recommended physical therapy on my back, hips and knees. I chose your facility primarily due to accessibility. I am truly grateful of my choice because of the professionalism, kindness, compassion and exceptional service that I have experienced starting from the reception area to the caring hands of the PT assistants and the healing touch of my therapist, Ryan P. Kay. His recommended exercises were a great help to increase my mobility and decrease my pain.
Ryan is a sincere and truly dedicated member of your team and should be commended for his professionalism, expertise, compassion, friendliness, kindness and personal demeanor. Thank you very much, Ryan, for helping me be on my feet again. It was truly a remarkable experience!
I will definitely recommend your facility to my family and friends needing physical therapy
The Center for Rehabilitation at UOA is very thorough. I always felt like my treatment aligned with my ability and my desire to gain a better physical status than before my surgery. I was always encouraged to improve upon my last visit. My therapist always encouraged me and let me know how well I was doing. He always paid attention to changes in my healing process. I felt very confident in my therapist’s care.
My PT experience with Ben was phenomenal. Beginning with his very thorough intake and assessment and ending with his comprehensive discharge instructions, I was impressed with Ben’s attention to detail. I found him to be a very knowledgeable, effective and patient practitioner. He’s a great teacher, and he meticulously ensured that I could successfully perform all the exercises assigned to me. Thanks, Ben, for making such a positive difference in my life.
Just a short letter of thanks to Ben at UOA for his help with superior service in helping a 64 year old guy who could not bend over to put is pants or shoes on, or even get out of bed in the morning due to leg and back pain. With Ben’s help and your staff, I went through the program in 10 visits, I can now play golf, tennis and jog pain-free and enjoy my new stretching program as a part of my daily routine. Thanks again, Ben and his staff.
