Neveen is very caring and professional in all instructions she gives during physical therapy. Her knowledge has been very helpful to alleviate some of the pain in my knees and I will continue to do her exercises. I have also joined Parker Wellness to further my recovery.
Breaking a Shoulder, Arm and Wrist is never a fun ordeal.. until you meet Dr. Christopher Doumas and Jessica Spivey. They make healing a happy time. Dr. Doumas is always there with a smile and willing to go the extra mile for the patient even when he is not scheduled to work. Jessica takes the “scare factor” out of a brutalizing session of Physical Therapy. I used to dread going to a physical therapist, now, I enjoy the process.
Thank you UOA for having such wonderful staff. Service with a smile is their motto.
I had a wonderful experience the 7 weeks with my PT instructor Christine & I felt much better each time I finished my sessions. My hip(s) replacement surgery would not have reached this high level of performance if it had not been my PT.
After diagnosing arthritis to be the leading cause of my back pains, UOA’s Dr. Cook recommended that I attend “Back School” where I would undergo physical therapy to strengthen and stretch my back muscles with exercises that I would learn how to also perform on my own.
My teacher was Lynn Van Ost, a veteran physical therapist whose knowledge of body mechanics proved to be rock solid and most beneficial. After just two treatments, my back began to feel better, albeit slightly, but improvement was evident nonetheless. Any notions that I may have had about “Back School” being a waste of time were quickly dispelled thanks to Lynn. I can now function normally as my discomfort level is almost nonexistent. Occasionally I may feel some pains flare up- as Lynn explained, thus is the nature of arthritis- but at least I now know how to relieve them better the exercises I was taught. Now that I have finished “back school,” I’ve decided to take what I will refer to as UOA’s postgraduate course, with Blake Swan as its instructor. Blake is a strength and conditioning specialist who will act as my personal trainer. He has assessed my physical capacity and is going to tailor my workouts so that they meet my needs and goals. I am eager to start my new fitness program under his guidance.
Thank you!! I could never have imagined being injured as severely as I was, without a doubt, I could not have recovered without the expert therapy programs by Nevean and ALL of the staff. Neveen’s technical knowledge, adaptability and most importantly, positive personality and emotional support, kept me on track and always moving forward. Neveen kept me on track- she was aggressive with it appropriate and handle the “down” times professionally. My Family and I will never forget the treatment Neveen provided physically but more importantly the mental and emotional support she gave!
I would highly recommend University Orthopedic Associates for therapy for anyone who has to have therapy after surgery or therapy that doesn’t require surgery. I have worked with Mohammad and Erin (left knee replacement and later back); Christine (right knee replacement.) The therapists are professional, friendly and show concern for their patients. It was a pleasure working with them and LaToya, the receptionists; they always welcome you with a smile!
Thank you to Kristine and the staff. It was a very positive experience for my daughter, Shannon. She was injured (knee) during gymnastics and the treatment, exercises and encouragement was outstanding. After 11 sessions she is stronger, pain-free and keeping up with her exercises since she has been discharged. Thanks again!
Facing potential spine surgery, I oped to give physical therapy a try first, knowing very well it might not provide the results I wanted. My therapist Kristine did my evaluation and put together a program for use at UOA and at home. It was difficult at times but Kristine encouraged me to stick with it and I’m so glad I did. After 4 weeks I noticed an improvement; I had less pain doing my normal activities and so we extended the therapy to 6 more weeks. I’ve since returned to playing golf and other activities with minimal pain afterwards. I continue to use her therapy program at a local fitness center and at home. I would not hesitate to use UOA again and recommend them to anyone.
UOA was outstanding from my first consultation visit to surgery, and throughout my time at physical therapy. They made what originally was a painful experience a very comfortable road to recovery.
