I recently underwent full hip replacement surgery using the anterior approach performed by Dr. Stephen Kayiaros of University Orthopaedic Associates. My experience from beginning to end can only be described as excellent. It’s a modern, up-to-date practice with a very friendly, professional and caring staff. The information was generous and there were always people available and happy to help with any questions or needs I had. Prep, procedure and recovery were all I could hope for and I’m delighted to again be able to walk and go about normal life pain-free. Thank you, Dr. Kayiaros and UOA, from a very happy patient!
I met young people who were dedicated and passionate about their responsibilities. Dr. Abadir set the pace for diligence and his prompt attention to the needs of patrons who visited. He was particularly sensitive in saying my name (a Biafran name) as close as a native speaker. Whenever he suggested at home exercises, he followed up the next time I visited.
The staff, the environment, the patient experience and the therapists at UOA’s Center for Rehabilitation are Top Notch! Dino Pinciotti, my therapist, was professional and was extremely well informed on the latest protocols and best practices. The Graston Technique – a form of manual therapy known as soft-tissue instrument-assisted mobilization, greatly reduced my pain and helped in strengthening my arm and back after a cervical fusion. Dino is attentive to you while you are doing your exercises to make sure you are doing them correctly. He is very hands-on and motivating. Also, a thank you to Jaime Rose my OT! I would recommend this practice to anyone at any age or treatment scenario – really excellent!
Extremely pleasant. Extremely knowledgeable and very nice. Explains everything so that I could understand. Very professional! Same for the staff. Will definitely use him again. Â
Excellent work! Couldn’t have asked for better service. Really pleased with the results! My wife will also be coming here to have her knee therapy! Thanks so very much!
Ben was very attentive and hands-on with my physical therapy when needed throughout my therapy. Always adding more challenging exercises to push and challenge my abilities. He gave me home exercises from the start which enabled me to put my recovery in my hands as well. I highly recommend Ben and would go to him if needed in the future.Â
I was very pleased with the care I received at UOA, Somerset. The facility is up to date and well maintained. The staff is continually disinfecting equipment after each use and washing their hands frequently. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. All the therapists, assistants and volunteers are professional and extremely helpful. Ben is a top-notch therapist! I knew he was knowledgeable and well educated. I learned a lot about my injury and how to stay healthy and mobile. Ben also gave me a plan to use at home but encouraged me to contact him if I needed. I recommend UOA highly!Â
I was very lucky to get Ben as my Physical Therapist. He is very professional, knowledgeable, flexible and sincere. Before this, I’ve gone to other centers where the physical therapist was not present when the exercises were done – just one assistant for as many as 10 people and one was lucky if the improper form of exercise was even noticed. When I first started at UOA, I could hardly walk and was in a lot of pain. Now, I am walking with the aid of my cane and have much less pain.
Physical therapy scheduled during a pandemic obviously called some anxiety! Each visit to UOA Rehab Center decreased my anxiety. They had protocols set up and all those I met were vigilant about following these procedures for OUR SAFETY! The therapists listened to my concerns, my achievements and had valuable recommendations to bring me to where I wanted and needed to be! My time was well spent because now I can do things I was unable to do for 4 years. Thank you for your professionalism, courtesy and dedication!Â
At the beginning of every session, Joe greeted me by name and with a welcoming smile. In a huge room full of people and activity, it’s good to be acknowledged. Joe got started right away on the next hour of treatment. He always had a plan of activity and was always available to answer questions. I appreciated his knowledge about my situation and helpful advice. My knee improved significantly and I am grateful!
