Dr. Doumas,
I probably should have sent this thank you sooner. However, as I was doing some major rehabilitation on my son’s wooden garage doors last week, (the very garage roof that I fell from, causing catastrophic damage to the bones in my wrist) It occurred to me that it is quite amazing that I was able to do this sanding, staining and polyurethaning, using my left hand. The very hand that you reconstructed using cadaver bones, rods, screws and mostly your knowledge and incredible talent.
I cannot thank you enough for “fixing” my broken bones in a manner that has caused me minimal lose of movement and use. Although there is some restrictive movement, it is not nearly what I had anticipated. I am left-handed which was a bit of a concern after this injury. Just for a brief update: (even though it is closing in on 4 years!). I am a very limited but enthusiastic guitar player. I am able to play more than 95% of my previous ability. Previous to the injury, I obsessively did push-ups, never missing a day up until Sept. 28, 2016- injury date. I actually did 122,500 push-ups the year I turned 60….yes, I counted. At this date in 2020, I have not missed a day of 200+ push-ups each day since January 1.
I could go on with examples of the amazing results of the repair to my mangled wrist, but I will not take up any more of your valuable time. I just wanted to make sure you know how appreciative I am for your work and your talents. You only take a back seat to me thanking God for my recovery!
Thank You very, very much.
May God continue to bless and guide you.
My eight weeks of knee therapy resulted in a significant decrease in pain and better flexibility. I appreciated Jessica’s knowledge and skill and will apply it to a daily exercise regime to strengthen up my legs. The staff was courteous and helpful at all times. I actually enjoyed going to therapy.
The people here are very patient and extremely helpful. I am in a much better place with my knee thanks to Dr. Swan and Jessica from PT. Thanks everyone!
Everyone has been extremely cordial and professional. I feel that I have received excellent care and attention and would recommend UOA PT to everyone. Jessica Spivey is extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and explained the procedures and answered all my questions. Thank you all!
Friendly and very informative. Helpful in pushing me to go outside my comfort zone, and seeing positive results. Always consistent in keeping me on track. Appreciate the fact that they got me back to my normal lifestyle.Â
Jessica and others were very knowledgeable and professional. I have experienced a pleasant and progressive experience with your therapists. I would recommend your center to relatives and friends!
The physical therapists were wonderful. Very professional and were educated about their craft. They explained each procedure to me and helped to make my healing safe and fast. Very friendly.
This facility is first class. The level of professionalism is outstanding. The hands-on, active rehabilitation approach clearly provided me with a better path to the highest level of recovery. The added advantage of direct access to my surgeon was another benefit. The educational quality of the staff was obvious. Jessica invested in my recovery from day one and maintained that investment. I would recommend this facility and would not go anywhere else if I need PT.
Came here for a torn ACL, genuinely some of the nicest people I have come across not only in a business establishment, but in life. Tailored every session specifically to what I needed and felt and never had a sense of misguidance or misdirection. Couldn’t have done it without all of them and the positive atmosphere they provide.
My overall experience at UOA has been very positive. The staff has always been courteous, pleasant, and helpful. In particular Vinny has been right on with treating me. I always feel better after a PT session. His knowledge and professionalism are outstanding. UOA is indeed fortunate to have a person of his caliber on their team.
