I recently underwent full hip replacement surgery using the anterior approach performed by Dr. Stephen Kayiaros of University Orthopaedic Associates. My experience from beginning to end can only be described as excellent. It’s a modern, up-to-date practice with a very friendly, professional and caring staff. The information was generous and there were always people available and happy to help with any questions or needs I had. Prep, procedure and recovery were all I could hope for and I’m delighted to again be able to walk and go about normal life pain-free. Thank you, Dr. Kayiaros and UOA, from a very happy patient!
I met young people who were dedicated and passionate about their responsibilities. Dr. Abadir set the pace for diligence and his prompt attention to the needs of patrons who visited. He was particularly sensitive in saying my name (a Biafran name) as close as a native speaker. Whenever he suggested at home exercises, he followed up the next time I visited.
The staff, the environment, the patient experience and the therapists at UOA’s Center for Rehabilitation are Top Notch! Dino Pinciotti, my therapist, was professional and was extremely well informed on the latest protocols and best practices. The Graston Technique – a form of manual therapy known as soft-tissue instrument-assisted mobilization, greatly reduced my pain and helped in strengthening my arm and back after a cervical fusion. Dino is attentive to you while you are doing your exercises to make sure you are doing them correctly. He is very hands-on and motivating. Also, a thank you to Jaime Rose my OT! I would recommend this practice to anyone at any age or treatment scenario – really excellent!
Extremely pleasant. Extremely knowledgeable and very nice. Explains everything so that I could understand. Very professional! Same for the staff. Will definitely use him again.
Excellent work! Couldn’t have asked for better service. Really pleased with the results! My wife will also be coming here to have her knee therapy! Thanks so very much!
Physical therapy scheduled during a pandemic obviously called some anxiety! Each visit to UOA Rehab Center decreased my anxiety. They had protocols set up and all those I met were vigilant about following these procedures for OUR SAFETY! The therapists listened to my concerns, my achievements and had valuable recommendations to bring me to where I wanted and needed to be! My time was well spent because now I can do things I was unable to do for 4 years. Thank you for your professionalism, courtesy and dedication!
At the beginning of every session, Joe greeted me by name and with a welcoming smile. In a huge room full of people and activity, it’s good to be acknowledged. Joe got started right away on the next hour of treatment. He always had a plan of activity and was always available to answer questions. I appreciated his knowledge about my situation and helpful advice. My knee improved significantly and I am grateful!
Excellent staff and treatment! I had my right ankle surgery and I was recommended to UOA by my doctor. I was so hopeless that I would not be able to walk like normal again. However, Joseph Abadir, my physical therapist had changed my life! He is knowledgeable, professional, and caring. He patiently explained in detail how the sessions would be provided. He always assured me that I will be able to walk without pain. I now can walk normally again. I highly recommend Joseph and PT staff at UOA to anyone who is looking for excellent care. Thank you Joe!
I had my hip replaced and your rehab was terrific. Also, the location was convenient and clean….especially during COVID times!
I came there for PT after advice from Dr. Butler who recommended Dean the Director of Physical Therapy Unit there. I am 84 years young and was distressed I had pain in my hip area when walking. Dr. Butler through x-rays said Bursitis. Dean was extraordinary in his treatment of me. I now walk pain-free!
