Ben was extremely detail-oriented and an excellent diagnostician. He has helped Cameron tremendously to recover both flexibility and confidence. We are very grateful to him!
I was very happy to have Ben Glider as my physical therapist. We find him to be pleasant, polite and informative. When I started therapy, I was referred by Dr. Butler. I had hip-back and leg pain. The therapy that he provided me put me back to myself again. I would certainly recommend Ben to anyone who needs therapy.
I had previous treatment for my arm by Jaime and Craig and we could not have said enough about your faculty. The people are professional and caring. I would definitely recommend this rehabilitation center, as both of my experiences were positive.
As a retired Administrative Assistant to the President and Chairman of Bankers Trust Company/Deutsche Bank in New York for 47 years, I’m quite familiar with receiving many complaint letters. It was always a refreshing change when someone took the time to sit down and write a complimentary note. This letter is my humble attempt at sending a note of praise to you, your assistants and the health care professionals of University Orthopedic Associates.
Two years ago, I was diagnosed with an injured bursa and suffered with constant hip pain. Cortisone injections, multiple visits to a Chiropractor, and an acupuncturist couldn’t make a dent. I finally cried “uncle” and am convinced that it was through Divine intervention, that I was able to make an appointment with you. At our initial meeting, I didn’t even have to delve into details of my pain-you described it to me perfectly. Your professionalism, courtesy, knowledge and thorough explanation of what exactly was causing my on-going problems and how you were going to fix it-no question about that-was inspiring. Your confidence and enthusiasm was contagious. Your patience was remarkable even after my husband peppered you with hundreds of questions on what types of “tools” you were going to use and wanted to hear all about the gory details of the procedure. Thankfully, you have a great sense of humor and an overabundance of patience. On February 11, 2019, I underwent total hip replacement. Outpatient Rehabilitation Network Meridian At Home Care provided excellent home skilled nursing and physical therapy throughout my recovery period. After two days with a walker and a few days on a cane, I was able to walk into my post-op appointment on Feb. 26 can free and almost pain-free! While I have several weeks of out-patient PT to navigate, I have no doubt that I will make a full recovery “without restrictions.”
I am very grateful that I had the good fortune to have you as my surgeon along with your team of knowledgeable healthcare professionals. Fortunate also to have excellent care at Jersey Shore. It just goes to prove one does not need to travel into New York to receive “top drawer,” gold standard health care. It’s right here in our own backyard. Many thanks to you and your staff for generously helping those of us in need.
I went to the Center For Rehabilitation & Sports Excellence on advise from a neighbor. I first had to rehab my achilles heel and was extremely satisfied with the program and results with Ryan Kay. A true professional. A few months later, I fell and dislocated my shoulder. I elected to wait a week to get evaluated and onto Ryan’s schedule. The best decision I made. The progress has been steady and results are excellent. The shoulder is complicated and takes time. He evaluates your progress and makes needed adjustments. In working with Ryan, you become confident you are on the right track. You want to work and you become diligent at home with his prescribed program. The facility is state of the art with all equipment. The support staff is extremely accommodating and courteous. I have and will continue to recommend to anyone Ryan Kay for your rehab needs.
In my 81 years I have experienced many orthopedic injuries and have worked with a number of physical therapists. In my opinion, Dean Pinciotti (Dino) is far and away number one, in as much as liking his personality and more importantly the respect and confidence I have gained in his knowledge and expertise.
I had 26 PT appointments with Ryan Kay. He and the staff were extremely professional and friendly. He worked with me, spent a lot of time with me helping improve the mobility, flexibility and strength of my left foot. The women at the front desk who scheduled the appointments were wonderful, as was Valerie, the PT assistant. I highly recommend everyone at the UOA PT department.
I have just completed my second “set” of physical therapy sessions with Ryan Kay, DPT for my head and neck issues. Thanks to the outstanding efforts of Ryan and his PT aides, I am now relatively pain free. I found Ryan to be a totally understanding, compassionate, knowledgable, personable and professional therapist. He was 100% aware of my issues and dealt with them accordingly. I also observed how Ryan positively interacted with his colleagues, aides and other patients, and was grateful to have him as my PT! He is a highly talented PT whose skills are of the highest quality. I strongly recommend Ryan and the entire “team” of therapists at UOA!
Without Vinny, my therapist, I wouldn’t have felt I would have made it through this difficult situation. My injury was very bad and Vinny encouraged me each week and pushed me to my full abilities. All I can say is I would definitely refer UOA to any of my friends or family.
I feel the program is highly effective. I have personally seen other people who have skipped PT all together and their movements are extremely limited. Great team to work with!
I had a hip replacement and I received therapy approximately 3 or 4 weeks after. I was so impressed with the professional and warm atmosphere which gave me the confidence to work hard toward my recovery. My therapist took time to pay close attention to my progress and modified my routine when needed.
