“Following the surgery, I told Dr. Baione I wanted to get my strength back. He told me I was in great shape and that I could get in even better shape.” Two weeks after the procedure, she started physical therapy. Recovery pain was minimal, and by eight weeks, she was back to her full-time activities. Read Anne’s Story.
My experience at UOA with Dean Pinciotti was exceptional. I worked with my therapist Dean over the last 12 weeks as I rehabbed my shoulder after surgery. Dean is very professional and personable. My all around experience with UOA surgery and rehab was remarkable. All the therapists and office staff are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend family and friends if they are looking for excellent care.
Having my ACL replaced was really not a big deal thanks to Dino’s PT program. Within days I was performing exercising and used my repaired knee. As my program progressed Dino pushed me to go further and further which sped up my progress. He encouraged me to repeat our PT workouts at home (stretching 3x day and eventually 3x week as I upgrade to weights) or the gym. I will recommend Dino and UOA to everyone.
I chose UOA rehabilitation center following a left knee surgery for a meniscus tear repair. I loved the concept that my physician is part of this group and that my therapist and doctor can interact and see all reports and imaging results. When I came in I was in a lot of pain after just two weeks of surgery and depended on crutches to walk. Dean my therapist, evaluated me and set goals for me along the way to recovery. I have come to appreciate all the “hard” work and now I feel pretty good.
This was my first time having to do PT. I was a bit uneasy about what would be required of me. Dean and his staff put me at ease. Dean explained “everything” to me and gave me guidance and support with each exercise and machine. Many thanks to Billy and Brian for watching over and setting up my exercises to the right level. They were always around and making sure I did the exercise right. Also thank you to the front staff who made scheduling a snap! My entire experience was so positive!
I sincerely appreciated the personal attention I received from the entire staff. My appointments were on time, which was important to me. The therapy I received was intense but it was so rewarding. I’ve had therapy with another center but UOA cannot be matched! UOA will definitely be my referral to others.
p.s Dino is an awesome therapist, thank you!
In 1979 I had major surgery (MacKay Section) on my knee. Following Physical Therapy I was only able to bend my knee approximately 90 degrees. Well 37 years later and after only 8 sessions with Dean I was able to bend it 105 degrees. Dean was patient, knowledgable and a master of these metal torture devices (Gaston Technique) that he used to break up scar tissue. He used massage therapy, stretching, manual manipulation and traditional weight resistance. But Through his persistance, hard work and deligence I now have less pain and a greater range of motion…..Thanks Deano….
Before coming to UOA I was treated at 2 other facilities unsuccessfully. I was then referred to UOA, specifically to Dino Pinciotti., PT, the director of the PT department. I gave him a complete history of what was going on and the treatment I had received. He said he was sure he could help me and he did. I told my P.A. at Pain Management to send other people without hesitation.
I wanted to take the time to write this testimonial because I felt it was the very least I could do to thank Dr. Kayiaros and his PA, Lauren Stull, for all they did for me! I will be forever grateful to them for giving me my mobility back. In early October 2017, I had the anterior approach left hip replacement surgery.
Five years earlier, I had the posterior approach on my right hip by a different doctor (now retired) and what a difference in my pain level, my recovery and my immediate mobility because of the anterior approach and Dr. K’s skill.
I would suggest the anterior approach to anyone for whom it’s viable! I was discharged from the hospital the next day after the surgery and was a little tentative but I was able to walk to my bedroom, that night, to the second floor! In home P.T. started the following day and lasted two weeks until outpatient PT. Even still, I was able to get around in my home very well and the pain was very tolerable. I do have a high tolerance for pain but this was SO much less pain than with the posterior approach.
From the moment, my wife and I went to UOA, we really loved it. You will notice a huge difference like we did. The entire process of paperwork, scheduling of appointments, pre-surgery paperwork, the surgery, etc., is managed SO well. It’s really unlike any other doctor’s office I’ve been to. Of course, having surgery and preparing for it, can be very stressful. UOA took that stress away.
In addition, we had a few questions prior to the surgery and ALWAYS received a prompt call back from Dr. K’s efficient PAA (who’s name escapes me right now but she was wonderful too). This office is a well-oiled machine!!
It is now three months past my surgery and I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. I am so glad that I found such a wonderful surgeon to relief all the pain I was suffering with. I’m back to being out and about and able to enjoy life and walking without pain any more.
Lauren was also very compassionate and kind. She gives you all the time needed to ask/answer questions and you don’t feel rushed in any way while in their offices.
I am so pleased with my outcome and it’s my pleasure to recommend and suggest that you contact Dr. Kayiaros’ office if needed!!
My experience with UOA was positive from its inception to completion. The expertise and care I received from Dr. Harwood and Robert Wood began my journey toward good health. Dino Pinciotti with his knowledge, care and patience left me with a quality of life I had not experienced in many years. Each day my functioning improves. Kudos to the therapy center. Thank you all.
