I came to Dr. Leddy after suffering from shoulder pain for a long time. During one office visit, he found the issue and gave me a guided shot in the shoulder. Within a couple of days, I was and am still pain-free! Thank you, Dr Leddy, and your kind staff!

From the surgeons to physical therapists and their team to the front desk staff. They are a part of my family now. So very grateful for their support through my shoulder replacement and recovery. Dr. Doumas is an incredibly skilled and caring doctor. Several days before my wedding I needed surgery on my finger. Most places wouldn’t even take me for an appointment. UOA not only squeezed me in 4 days before my wedding, but Dr. Doumas was so understanding to my pain and upcoming wedding stress. He scheduled me for surgery the NEXT day. He did an amazing job completing a nail bed repair and even put my avulsed nail back on, so that I would have all 5 nails on my left hand on my wedding day. He turned a stressed filled week into a success!! Now 4 weeks later, my finger and nail are healing beautifully. I cannot thank UOA and Dr. Doumas enough!!

Dr. James Monica performed emergency surgery to address a femur fracture. I first met Dr. Monica in the hospital where he briefly explained the surgical procedure and why he believed it was my best option. The surgery went very well and within 3 months I am now walking unaided. I still need to strengthen my leg muscles and Dr. Monica provided written exercises for my leg, emphasizing which exercises were most beneficial for me. I met with Dr. Monica several times following the surgery and he always conducted himself in a calming manner while answering any questions in a clear and concise way. He was also accommodating with requests, such as my request for a temporary parking placard. Overall, my experience with Dr. Monica had been very positive and I highly recommend him as an orthopedic surgeon.
During my year long hurdle, I am so grateful to have had outstanding medical care from Dr. Doumas and Kristen, hand therapist.
It was very difficult to foresee recovery from a disabling injury of bilateral radial and ulna fractures. Dr. Doumas was always encouraging and patient, answering questions and offering alternative strategies and expectations to my long term recovery. His treatment plan always left me with a positive perspective on outcome.
Kristen’s attention to detail explaining exercises, altering and making supportive braces, encouraged me to feel like “you could do this”. while empathetically acknowledging my limitations, she always turned a negative into a positive trying to find solutions to my loss of function. I never thought I would have use of my right hand again. Thank you Kristen, I am eternally grateful for all your knowledge, caring and support that enabled me to get this far.
I would like to thank everyone who worked along side during my recovery. Jessica, also for your attentive care and friendly conversations. The nurses and all the x-ray techs were so patient and understanding, extending themselves in any way to enable the difficult positions necessary for evaluation. The front desk–Doreen’s friendly morning greetings and accommodating appointment changes!
I am coming to an end with treatment and feel like I’m leaving a caring family who over this challenging year helped me regain function and independence. Thank you all at UOA!
