Justin McTish is an incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and kind Occupational Therapist. After dislocating my shoulder, tearing my rotator cuff, and partially tearing my tfcc in my wrist in a fall on December 9th, 2023, I required two separate surgeries – one in February for my shoulder and the other in July for my wrist.
From my initial visit in December 2023 to my final visit in September 2024, Justin made this lengthy ordeal a pleasant experience. There were times when I felt defeated, but Justin took the time to let me talk through my frustrations and was incredibly encouraging, always leaving me with a renewed sense of encouragement and understanding.
He helped me realize that while my frustrations were valid, I was making progress even when I didn’t think so. As someone who had never undergone major surgery before, having conversations with Justin before both surgeries really put my mind at ease and assured me that I was making the right decisions.
Justin truly made my twice-weekly appointments something to look forward to. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone in need of shoulder or hand occupational therapy.
I am writing on behalf of my son Joseph J Fenton who was a patient of Dr. Buckley when he was 16. Joseph is now 18 and we just dropped him off at the airport to continue his pursuit of his hockey dreams. When he met Dr. Buckley his knee and thigh were pretty damaged from a hockey injury. Dr. Buckley took the time to listen to his patient and understand that he needed some treatment options that also contained hope. Due to Dr. Buckley’s expert guidance he was able to avoid surgery and be back on the ice much sooner than any of us expected. He now has the opportunity to play in the USHL which is a big deal for him and I believe he may not be where he is today if it wasn’t for Dr. Buckley and the great physical therapy he received from the UOA. I also want to thank Dr. Doumas a friend of the family for his recommendation to see Dr. Buckley. Thanks all.

I had problems with a knee replacement for five years. I decided to go to Doctor Baione in Wall. He took X-rays and knew right away what was wrong. He replaced the problem knee and I couldn’t be happier. He explained everything thoroughly and I was able to do everything by myself after two days. The staples came out two weeks later and I’m able to drive and get my walker in the car by myself. Thank God for doctors like Dr. Baione. I highly recommend him. The entire staff is wonderful. The communication with the staff from my initial visit to the surgery and follow up has exceeded all of my expectations.
I have never had to recover from a mobility impairing injury (hip fracture); and so there was a lot of uncertainty in dealing with the injury, potential complications, and recovery timeline to get back to normal.
The UOA physical therapist, Stephen Pavoni, had the experience and knowledge to properly diagnose my physical therapy needs and develop a plan to accelerate my recovery. Specifically, Steve assessed my range of motion limitations and performed the necessary manipulations to mobilize my joint. He also developed a set of exercises that would strengthen the hip joint and related muscle groups to enable my recovery. Importantly, at every session, Steve and his colleagues supervised my exercise routines and made nuanced adjustments to my technique.
When necessary, Steve was able to easily communicate with my UOA surgeon, Dr. Pushilin, and access related medical records to ensure continuity in my recovery.
Lastly, the UOA Somerset staff (receptionists and technicians) were always helpful, courteous, and supportive of my needs. Thank you!
I went to physical therapy at UOA after suffering from foot pain for almost 1 year. My physical therapist Lindsey was very kind, friendly and caring. She is very skillful and knows what she is doing. With her help and therapy, I am almost with no foot pain now. Thank you Lindsey and UOA.
All the other assistants were good as well.
