Lindsey of UOA was an excellent therapist. She did a complete analysis of my problem, then came up with a plan. The exercises were very helpful and relieved my pain. I will recommend UOA to family and friends.

I have been suffering with knee pain for several years. Tried physical therapy but never with results like I’ve gotten at this facility. I found the staff to be very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend to anyone requiring physical therapy rehabilitation.Â

Dr. Schafer saw my husband in April. We were referred to him because of a lump on his foot. He was the 4th doctor we had seen. Before seeing Dr. Schafer, we were told that he wouldn’t be able to remove it because the lump was not vascular. At the appointment, Dr. Schafer expressed concern and referred us to Dr. Francis Patterson who we saw the following week. After a biopsy of the lump, he was scheduled for surgery in 2 weeks. Dr. Schafer was the first doctor in a year to raise concern and get us where we needed to go. We will be forever grateful for that. Angel’s prognosis is hopeful and I truly believe it’s thanks to Dr. Schafer.
God bless!

A couple of months ago my wife and I went on a 10 day riverboat cruise on the Rhine River. The trip involved a lot of walking through cities and towns in Germany, including climbing through castles, windmills, and museums, among other points of interest. Through it all my ankle held up fine, with no problems at all.Â
There is no way I could have done all this without Dr. Fleming’s outstanding ankle replacement surgery. I thank him very much for making it possible to go into my 80’s without limping along continually.Â

In 1996 Drs. Harwood and Butler did a hip fusion reversal and total hip replacement on my left hip. This gave me a new lease on life. For the first time since I originally broke/dislocated my hip in 1966, I was pain free. It is now 27 years later and I’m still going strong.

I know GOD sent me to Dr. Lu for a reason! I had a horrific accident at work that shattered my humerus, and believe me it was far from funny! I was scared, nervous, apprehensive and the last thing I ever wanted was surgery. Dr. Lu was so compassionate, caring, informative, supportive and ALWAYS listened to my thoughts and concerns. I was never rushed and he always legitimately cared for my well being, not just physically but emotionally and mentally as well. He treated me for over 15 months and I wish I could just go and sit and talk with him now! The entire staff was just wonderful as well. They wore smiles every minute! If I could give them all 100 stars I would!!

On May 20, 2022, I had a fluke bicycling accident, low speed with no other bicycle or car involved. I hit a small pile of sand on a sharp turn. The front tire washed out. I went down on my right side with all my weight landing on my right upper femur/hip area resulting in an upper trochanter femur/hip fracture. I had a rod inserted from my hip to my knee, 2 screws in my hip, and 2 screws in my knee. After PT and a slow, steady return to cycling, I’m now back to full strength, full speed. I can’t imagine life w/o cycling. Thank you so much Dr. Baione!

UOA has been a wonderful resource for me these past 18 months. I never had to get major surgery before but Dr. Patrick Buckley and the team took the time to walk me through different options for my ACL. Jess Spivey was amazing to work with during the challenging rehab process. Teresa and Jennifer always greeted me professionally and compliment the UOA team very well. I’d highly recommend UOA.

On 4/23 I had my right knee replaced by Dr. Baione who I was referred to by Tara, who works at the Morganville office. Thanks to Tara, Dr. Baione and his staff everything went as planned. Then came my PT follow-ups. I met Tara and Donna who helped me coordinate my treatments with my personal schedule. They couldn’t have been more respectful and courteous during this experience. They should be considered a huge asset to UOA. Then it became time to start my actual PT. I had the pleasure of working with Joe Abadir and Mateo. They put me through a rigorous treatment plan which they formulated for me and addressed any and all of my needs and concerns. They were so respectful and professional that I almost forgot about the pain. They treated me more like a friend rather than a patient. When I first started my treatment I had difficulty walking and was in a lot of pain. I learned a new term called “range of motion” and this improved after each visit with them. I went from a walker to a cane to having the ability to climb stairs with no pain. All of this occurred in a much shorter time than I ever expected due to the way these two guys took care of me. If I ever owned a business it would be highly successful if I had employees like Tara, Donna, Joe, and Mateo. From Tara introducing me to Dr. Baione and his staff to going back to Morgaville again with Tara, Donna, Joe & Mateo, I had an extremely successful experience and I would highly recommend UOA to anyone that I know who has an orthopaedic issue. Great crew!

The front desk personnel at University Orthopaedic Associates are the epitome of great customer service. As a retired human resources manager at Kraft Foods, I’m able to recognize professionalism, and this team is exuberant. It is a pleasure to walk through the door and be greeted with smiles. UOA should be proud of the team they have hired and trained at the wall office. Keep up the good work!
